Uruguay's public university will use tablets to replace the paper

The tablets are seen increasingly as an alternative to paper. An example is the project of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UDELAR), which seeks to reduce its costs in providing these teams role to the councils of the faculties.

These scanned documents and other content using the Councils role also allowed to distribute via email.

The new process is cheaper, more environmentally friendly, can more easily democratize access to information, the university said.
