Canada, from hero to villain in the fight against climate change

Green nation, friendly and conscious of its international obligations ... a destroyer of efforts to combat climate change.

That is, according to some observers and environmental groups, the radical change in the role Canada is playing globally.

It is shameful that a country that had a record as good in other areas of development you back to millions of poor people in developing countries.

The departure from Canada of the Kyoto Protocol, the only existing agreement forcing some countries to cut their emissions, is an affront to the nearly one billion people worldwide who are daily struggling to feed their families to droughts, floods , heat waves and storms become more frequent and severe.
